VUV Analytics Shipping FAQs

Below are the most Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) that we receive regarding the shipment of our instruments.

What does my instrument shipment include?

If you have purchased a VGA instrument, you will be receiving two separate shipments, one is the instrument and the other is the instrument qualification kit.

Shipment 1: Instrument

This will come in a wooden crate that is marked VUV Analytics on the outside. The crate is 34″x33″x29″ in size and weighs 203 lbs (pictured below).

Shipment 2: Qualification Kit

The qualification kit will come separate from the crated instrument in a plain brown box.  The dimensions of the Qualification Kit are 13″x11″x5″ and it weighs 2 lbs.

How are the boxes shipped?

The large instrument is shipped via ground freight.  The qualification kit is sent via UPS ground.

Will you provide tracking numbers for my shipment?

Yes, you will receive two separate tracking numbers for your shipment.

The crate tracking number will be sent to you from logistics@vuvanalytics.com prior to it leaving our warehouse.

The Qualification Kit tracking number will also be sent to you from logistics@vuvanalytics.com and this will arrive 1 week prior to your installation date.

There is damage to my shipment, what do I do?

If there is damage to your crate shipment and/or your Qualification Kit, please accept the shipment.  Take pictures from ALL sides of the shipment and email them to logistics@vuvanalytics.com.

We will open a claim on your behalf and make sure that you have an instrument in good condition prior to your installation date.

The Shock Sticker on my shipment is red, what do i do?

VUV Analytics shipments have 2 safety warnings on them:

  • Shock Sticker
  • No Stack! Fragile Cone

If the small window on your shock sticker (pictured below) is showing red, then there is a chance that your instrument was shaken during transport.  This does not mean that the instrument is broken, we just need to proceed with caution.

Take pictures of your complete instruments AND the shock sticker and email them to logistics@vuvanalytics.com.

The No Stack Cone on my shipment is crushed, what do i do?

VUV Analytics shipments have 2 safety warnings on them:

  • Shock Sticker
  • No Stack! Fragile Cone

If the small window on your Do Not Stack cone (pictured below) is crushed when you receive your shipment, then there is a chance that your instrument has been improperly handled during transport.  This does not mean that the instrument is broken, we just need to proceed with caution.

Take pictures of your complete instruments AND the crushed cone and email them to logistics@vuvanalytics.com.

I have received both of my shipments, how do I store them?

Congratulations on receiving both of your VUV Analytics shipments in good condition!

Please do NOT open either box or crate until your VUV Analytics Installer arrives on-site.

Store the crate and Qualification Kit in a cool, dry place away from forklift traffic and where anyone would touch, sit on or jostle the crate.
