Job Description
Responsible for the sourcing, planning, procurement, and sustaining of inventory used in manufacturing and research/development for a growing company. Manages inventory levels and is responsible for the inventory accuracy in the system.


• Creates a purchasing forecast based on sales forecast and build schedule
• Creates and maintains appropriate procurement plan, communicating modular cost forecast to Finance department
• Sources and purchases inventory parts
• Manages and audits inventory levels and is responsible for the inventory accuracy
• Receives parts and performs audits to ensure all necessary parts are available to perform build and test
• Kits parts for work orders on the production floor
• Bill of Material management
• Expedites procurement and pursues alternative sourcing for engineered components
• Analyzes historical procurement and consumption rates to generate reports and drive continuous improvement
• Provides periodical materials cost analysis, including Nonconforming Materials
• Creates, troubleshoots and improves processes

Education and Experience

BS in Supply Chain Management is preferred
Minimum 5 years related experience in purchasing
Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Qualifications, Job Knowledge and Skills

• Experience in materials planning, sourcing, procurement, expediting, management, and forecasting.
• Advanced skills with purchasing including; sourcing, pricing, and 2nd source skills

• Experience with MRP tools.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Works well with minimal supervision of tasks and instructional guidance. Able to make decisions and deal with issues that may arise while conducting tasks.
• Ability to multitask and perform well on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Clear communication skills, both verbal and written
• English language proficiency
• Understands how the assigned duties relate to others in the team and how the team integrates with others
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
