Dr. Schug's presentation at ISCC and GCxGC 2017 discusses how Sum Squared Residual values relate to the differentiation of isomers by GC-VUV. Isomer systems investigated include petroleum hydrocarbons, pesticides, fatty acids, polychlorinated biphenyls, designer drugs, and benzene isotopologues.
This study presents a new method using gas chromatography with vacuum ultraviolet detection (GC-VUV) for the analysis of polychlorinated biphenyls congeners in Aroclor mixtures.
This article describes the capabilities of GC-VUV in cannabis terpene analysis including clear isomer differentiation and the deconvolution of co-eluting peaks. GC-VUV complements mass spectrometry by fully characterizing isomers and isobars.
