A groundbreaking new method for the analysis of Waste Plastic Process Oil (WPPO)
VUV Analytics, Inc. is proud to announce the publication of ASTM D8519-23, a groundbreaking new method for the Determination of Hydrocarbon Types in Waste Plastic Process Oil using Gas Chromatography with Vacuum Ultraviolet Absorption Spectroscopy (GC-VUV). This method is the first of its kind, designed to accurately characterize WPPO produced from chemical or thermal recycling of waste plastics. With this new technique, operators can identify and quantify hydrocarbons in WPPO more efficiently than ever before.
