In this co-sponsored series with Phenomenex, VUV analytics is featured as one of the GC users that uses the Zebron™ columns in combination with our GC-VUV system.
An Introduction to Gas Chromatography-Vacuum Ultraviolet Spectroscopy
Gas chromatography – vacuum ultraviolet (GC-VUV) spectroscopy is a universal detection platform for gas chromatography. VUV spectroscopy has unique capabilities that address many of the challenges inherent to gas chromatographic separation and detection. GC-VUV is currently being implemented in multiple industries, the most prominent of which is the fuels market.
Analyzing finished fuels and feedstocks is a complicated process traditionally involving multiple analytical techniques which must work together to obtain meaningful results. The VUV Analyzer™ Platform changes the norm by providing an automated, fast, and accurate approach to complete compound class analysis on a single hardware platform. In this presentation we’ll cover some of the benefits of VUV spectroscopy and explore the various fuels applications that are possible using Phenomenex Zebron™ columns and a VUV detector.
